I have for sale an 1880 presidential campaign token for Winfield Scott Hancock. The token looks to be copper or bronze, it is one inch in diameter, in circulated condition with a ding at the rim and it is holed. Hancock, 02/14/1824 - 02/09/1886, was a United States Army officer and the Democratic nominee for president of the United States in 1880. His army career lasted over 40 years and included service in the Mexican-American war, he was a Union General in the civil war, he took part in the military reconstruction of the south and was involved with the army presence in the western frontier. He was defeated for president by Republican James A. Garfield. His Vice President was William Hayden English, 08/27/1822 - 02/07/1896, of Indiana. The obverse shows the jugate bust of Hancock and English. The reverse shows a rooster in the center, with W.S. HANCOCK at the top rim and W.H. ENGLISH at the bottom rim.
