Ronald Wilson Reagan was inaugurated 40th President of the United States on January 20, 1981. He won the 1980 Presidential election defeating incumbent Jimmy Carter in a landslide. He was re-elected in 1984 in an even bigger landslide (49 out of 50 states) defeating former Vice President Walter Mondale. This collection includes an Inaugural Committee invitation dated January 20, 1981. There are three campaign buttons and a small pin commemorating his mention of the "Can Do" spirit of the construction of the Sports Park in Temecula, California that now bears his name. Also included is a beautifully cast Reagan '84 belt buckle, Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Playing Cards, Reagan Bumper Sticker, Ronald Reagan $1 bill, two First Edition Inauguration Day stamped envelopes, a USS Ronald Reagan "Peace Through Strength" patch, an admission ticket to a Cal State Fullerton Reagan Speech for the Bush-Quayle campaign on November 1, 1988 and twenty 37 cent U.S. postage stamps bearing the President's name and photo. No condition issues with any of the items.
