William Randolph Hearst 1904 button: For sale is an authentic button promoting the newspaper magnate Hearst’s presidential bid in 1904 for the Democratic nomination. He would lose to Alton B. Parker. This is quite an odd button that I cannot find a single auction result for; this was a design commonly used in the 1960s but I have never seen it used anywhere near the early 1900s. The button is 7/8” and does have some yellowing particularly on the left side. The back is in poor shape but obviously doesn’t show on display.
