RARE VINTAGE 5X7 SIGNED PHOTO BY 1936 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE KS GOV ALF LANDON Offered is an exceptional 5" x 7" glossy black and white signed photograph from 1936 Unsuccessful Presidential Candidate and former Kansas Governor, ALF LANDON Landon has very cleanly and boldly signed his photo in bold, dark felt tipped pen with excellent contrast. This terrific historical political item has not been professionally authenticated but absolutely guaranteed to pass any reputable third party authentication. Both front and back of photo are in pristine condition, and on back, previous owner has lightly penned "8/16/1982" as date autograph was obtained. Alfred Mossman Landon was an American oilman and politician who served as the 26th governor of Kansas from 1933 to 1937. A member of the Republican Party, he was the party's nominee in the 1936 presidential election, and was defeated in a landslide by Franklin D. Roosevelt. Alf Landon died on 10/12/1987 at the age of 100. A treasured political "keepsake", certain to make a prized addition to any vintage political collection.
