This tie clip, in gold-colored metal, is a fairly rare item for two main reasons: (1) While many tie clasps and pins were issued during the 1960 campaign with “Kennedy 60” on them, JFK himself had the tie bar shown here manufactured after the election, just with “Kennedy” on it, so he could give them to friends, staff, etc (2) It is rare to see one in a plastic case with the name of its designer, Frank Allen Orofino, plus “Original Design”, on it. Since item condition can be subject to opinion I have taken as many photos as I could have this clip to show it’s truly excellent condition! It’s the perfect gift for anyone with a love of American History!
