I have for sale an 1856 presidential campaign token for John Charles Fremont. Fremont was the republican candidate, and he lost to James Buchanan, the democratic candidate. Fremont was an explorer, military officer, and politician. He served as a senator from California, and he also served as the Governor of the Arizona Territory. The token is gilded metal, it is 7/8 inch in diameter and in what looks like AU condition. The obverse shows the bust of Fremont, and reads J.C. FREMONT - BORN - JAN. 21. - 1813. The reverse reads OUR COUNTRY at the rim, along with 13 stars. In the center, it shows an eagle perched on a globe. Please see over 950 more collectibles for sale in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables.
