Good 1916 Letter re: President Wilson & Boss Political Pressure on Workers. - - - DISCUSSION:Dated September 9, 1916 at Coatesville, Pennsylvania, the writer greets his mother, “Ding Bust my top lights if Wilson didn’t turn the trick all right. Enclosed you will find $10, Wilson money… On Monday we were told by the boss to get in the Repu(blican) parade, didn’t do it, it was all I could do to keep from getting in the Dem, parade. A mild way of telling a man how to vote in order to hold his job”. Letter sheet and mailing envelope. The letter sheet measures 5”x7.75”. Folds, some light soil and minor wear.
