Introducing BARGAIN BASEMENT POLITICAL ITEMS, (BBPI for short in our titles). We are beginning to offer in our eBay store some wonderful presidential campaign items at great prices. These are beyond the bargain political and presidential postcards we have started listing with BBPP in the titles. Since we've bought these items reasonably, we can pass some savings along to you. Most will be in the $10-$20 price range - about half what they normally sell for, which is a real bonus for a beginning collector. Or any collector for that matter. They may be possible duplicates of others in our eBay store at their regular prices. Which might be considered cutting one's own throat but hey, giving a customer a break is just fine with us. Especially in today's economy with the post office having just raised their rates. Here's a 2.5" lenticular "flasher" button which could have been used in either 1952 or 1956 to promote the election of democrats Adlai Stevenson for president, and Gerhard Mennen "Soapy" Williams as Michigan governor. They each ran both times. Such items are called "coattails" and are becoming quite popular in our hobby. You might ask why The Guv was called Soapy, so we'll tell you. His maternal grandfather founded the G. H. Mennen Company back in the 1870's, which made the family a ton of money off men's and women's toiletries. So you wouldn't nick-name some kid "Talcum" would you? This is in nice condition, but please enlarge our images to judge that for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. We are members of APIC selling only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. Shipping on this will be $5.00, first class with tracking. We'll also be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases, which we accomplish via a refund. 6088
