Here's a large format, @10 3/8" x 13.5", piece of sheet music written for William Howard Taft's 1908 presidential campaign entitled "The Man of the Hour." It was composed by Rudolph Aronson and published by Charles K. Harris in New York City. We think the design on the cover, with a likeness of Taft as if he were chiseled out of stone - DECADES before Gutzon Borglum actually rendered four presidents atop Mount Rushmore - is striking to say the least. The composer and publisher did a similar piece of music in 1904 for Theodore Roosevelt's campaign, "Our President March and Two Step," which we just sold. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. You're buying it "as is" because sheet music was often handled a lot more than other campaign material. The spine is completely intact and there are no major tears as you can see. Remember, it's called ephemera, folks, since it was made to be used and then discarded. So, we're just lucky to have cool things like this - in any condition - to add to our collections. Wouldn't it look great matted in a frame? You're not going to actually play it, right? We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay claims we don't. We just issue a refund for any overpayment. Shipping on this will be Ground Advantage, determined by your location. This is just some of the wonderful campaign music, (and postcards), that we acquired from a dear friend and mentor's personal collection, which we'll be offering continuously in the future. 9406
