| Presidential Campaign | 1900 William J. Bryan |
Not every political collector is aware that, like Theodore Roosevelt, the 1896 presidential candidate, William Jennings Bryan, was involved with the Spanish American War by raising a unit of fighting men, for which he was awarded the rank of Colonel. Actually, Lt. Colonel - just like TR. Unlike TR, Bryan's Nebraska unit never got into the thick of it like the Rough Riders did, or Bryan might have become a comparable war hero helping his political career. Bryan didn't use his military rank in any manner very much, such as this Copyright 1898 Underwood Co. stereo view card does, so few items noting his rank or service are extant. This is in nice condition but please enlarge our image to judge this for yourself so you can be happy with it. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases. Shipping on this will be $5.50 carefully packed-first class with tracking.
