I have for sale a political token for the 1896 United States Presidential Campaign, also known as Bryan money. William Jennings Bryan was the democratic candidate and William McKinley was the republican candidate. Bryan advocated the free coinage of silver, and to be standard money with gold at the ratio of 16 to 1. McKinley endorsed a single standard of gold. McKinley won the election and became our 25th president. This token looks to be lead, it is 1 3/4 inch in diameter, and its in circulated condition with a dig in the obverse field, see photos. The obverse at the rim reads FREE SILVER 1896. In the center it reads ONE DIME inside a wreath. The reverse reads BRYAN MONEY.
