This 6.25" x 3.5" ink blotter was distributed in 1928 by the Cornelius Wiltbank of Milton, Delaware, agent of The Alliance Insurance Company. You could mark on it during election night which state went which way in the Electoral College when you then needed only 258 votes to become president. It shows the 1924 presidential vote results in red (GOP) and blue, (democrat) - somehow THAT'S not changed in almost 100 years. Notice the republican electoral winnings east, north and west versus the democrat "solid south." Solid mainly because of the KKK, racial segregation and democrat Jim Crow laws keeping the black voters "down". And another thing which hasn't changed in almost a century is that Wisconsin went for the "Progressives" and socialists. That's because their U.S. Senator, Robert La Follette, took on republican Calvin Coolidge and democrat John Davis, with his own Progressive Party candidacy, plus their decades-old leftist fetishes.
